Allows Hourly Charging |
This checkbox indicates whether the State or City allows the employee to charge this leave by the hour. |
Average Weekly Wage |
Enter the employee's average weekly wage. Please refer to each participating state's or city's guidelines for determining an employee's average weekly wage. This value will be divided by the Average Weekly Hours to determine the Average Hourly Compensation Rate. When the employee charges time to the leave type's account, the Average Hourly Compensation Rate will be used to determine labor cost for the leave charging. |
Average Weekly Hours | Enter the employee's average weekly hours. Please refer to each state's or city's guidelines if they have a specific way of determining the average weekly hours. The Average Weekly Wage will be divided by this value to determine the Average Hourly Compensation Rate. When the employee charges time to the Leave Type's account, the Average Hourly Compensation Rate will be used to determine labor cost for that timesheet line. |
Hourly Supplemental Compensation Amount |
Use this field to specify the employee's supplemental hourly compensation rate for the mandatory leave. This value is automatically determined by dividing the Average Weekly Wage by the Average Weekly Hours, but you may override the amount if state or local regulations have a different manner of determining the hourly supplemental amount. If the employee charges the mandatory leave on their timesheet, you may use the Apply Timesheet Adjustments in Batch Mode process to adjust the mandatory leave's labor cost so that it's based on the hourly supplemental compensation rate. Rather than changing the original timesheet line, a new adjusting timesheet line will be generated to adjust the labor cost down or up to accommodate the hourly supplemental compensation rate. |
Override Accrual Rate |
If the employee's block grant accrual is not the same as the accrual rate specified on the Manage Leave Codes screen, then enter the override accrual rate here. When you run the Compute Leave process and the accrual date falls within the open leave period, this rate, rather than the accrual rate from the Manage Leave Codes screen, will be accrued by the employee. Leave this field blank or enter 0.00 if the accrual rate specified on the Manage Leave Codes screen should be used. |
