Field | Description |
---|---|
Internal Security Code |
Click and enter up to 12 alphanumeric characters to specify a unique code to represent your company's internal security requirement. Once established in this screen, the code can be linked to an employee on the Manage Employee Internal Security screen. This value is used to help track your company's internal security, which may or may not be specific to a certain building, floor, and/or area. This is a required field. Note: This code can be used to track federal security clearances but it is recommended you instead use the Manage Security Clearance Settings screen for security clearance tracking.
|
Internal Security Description |
Enter up to 100 characters to describe the internal security code. This is a required field. |
Internal Security Type |
Enter, or click to select, the type of internal security for the code. Internal security types allow you to classify and group your codes. They must be established on the Manage Internal Security Types screen in order to be used here. If you prefer not to group your internal security codes, we recommend you create a type of ALL or some other value that can be assigned to all internal security codes. This is a required field. Note: If there is only one internal security type on the Manage Internal Security Types screen, that value will automatically default when you enter a new internal security code.
|
Building Name |
Enter the building name to which this code applies. |
Building Floor Name |
Enter the floor in the building to which this code applies. This is an optional field, unless a Building Name has been assigned. If this code is for all floors of a building, you can use All as the floor identifier. |
Building Area Name |
Enter a specific area in the building to which this code applies. This is an optional field. |
Deactivation Date |
If applicable, enter, or click to select, the date on which this internal security code is no longer active. If specified, users will not be able to assign the code to an employee on the Manage Employee Internal Security screen if the employee's security date falls on or after the deactivation date. Note: This code can be used to track federal security clearances but it is recommended you instead use the Manage Security Clearance Settings screen for security clearance tracking.
