  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Contents of the Utilization Chart by Period Screen

Use this screen to generate a chart that displays a line chart of Direct Labor expense, Indirect Labor expense, and Utilization % (vertical y-axis) for each accounting sub-period during the fiscal year.

The chart demonstrates how changes over time in direct and indirect labor for an organization are reflected in its utilization factor.

You can also use this screen to generate a chart that displays a line chart of Direct Labor Variance, Indirect Labor Variance (left axis), and Utilization % Variance (right axis) for each individual period over the course of the fiscal year selected.

You can also create a line chart of Budgeted Direct Labor, Indirect Labor (left axis), and resulting Utilization % (right axis) for each individual period over the course of the fiscal year selected. This graph provides a visual picture of period to period trends in utilization.

Report Parameters

Field Description
Parameter ID

Enter the Parameter ID in this field.

Note: If you do not have any parameters saved, you can go directly to the Parameter ID field and enter the details to populate the form.
Description

Use this field to view the brief description of the Parameter ID.

Selection Group Box

Field Description
Report Type

Select the type of report you want to display. Choose from the following options:

  • Cost: Select this option to display cost history for the selected project. For this report type, the left axis of the chart and line graph compares costs (blue) to funding (green). The right axis and bar graph displays total burdened costs for that past 7 accounting periods
  • Budget: Select this option to display future budgeted cost for the selected project. For this report type, the left axis of the chart and line graph compares budget (blue) to Funding (green). The right axis and bar graph displays total burdened budget for the next 7 future accounting periods.
  • Variance: Select this option to display variance history for the selected project. For this report type, the left axis and line graph compares the cumulative variance for Labor and Total Costs. The right axis and bar graph displays total variance for the past 7 accounting periods.
Fiscal Year

Enter, or click to select the Fiscal Year. You can select from the table displaying the end dates and periods.

Note: Fiscal Year is disabled when Variance Report Type is selected.
Ending

This field displays the end date for the fiscal year.

Org ID

Enter the Org ID number in this field. Use the search icon to display the Org ID Table where you can select from all the ID numbers that you are allowed to view based on the your security Org ID.

Note: Click Preview from the toolbar to view the report/chart.
