Use the fields and options to configure the Create 1099 Information screen.
Create 1099 Information
Use the fields in this block to create a new parameter ID or to retrieve a previously saved parameter ID. A parameter ID represents a set of screen selection parameters. After you have saved a parameter ID and its related parameters, you can retrieve them using Query.
You can use the retrieved parameters to produce reports and run processes more efficiently and with greater consistency. The saved parameters are also useful and necessary when you want to run the process as part of a batch job. Many users save a unique set of parameters for each different way they run a report or process. When you select a previously saved parameter ID or parameter description, the associated saved screen selection parameters automatically display as selection defaults. The page setup and print options, if there are any, are also included in the saved parameter ID. You can change any of the associated selection defaults as necessary.

When you save your record, all the selections made on the screen are stored with the parameter ID. Later, you can retrieve the parameter using Query. You can use the parameter to run the process more efficiently because you can select the parameter ID with its previously defined screen selections. After the default selections display on the screen, you can override the defaults. |

Selection Ranges
Taxable Entity
Use the fields in this group box to choose the taxable entity ID for 1099 creation. Although you can create 1099s for more than one taxable entity at a time, Deltek recommends that you print 1099s for only one taxable entity at a time. This ensures that each taxable entity's data prints separately on IRS documents.

Pay Vendor
Use the fields in this group box to select a range of pay vendors for 1099 creation.
If you use the lookup in the Start and End fields to select a pay vendor ID, your choices are limited to those that were flagged for 1099 creation on the 1099s group box on the Header tab of the Manage Vendors screen. To keep this lookup accurate, change old vendor status settings individually via Header tab.

Calendar Year |
Enter the calendar year for which you want to create 1099s, or select a year from the drop-down list. Although you can create 1099 information for future years, Costpoint cannot support 1099 formats for future years. |

Correcting 1099s |
Select this option to create correcting 1099s for previously submitted 1099s with errors. You can only create a correction record for a single Taxable Entity and Pay Vendor at a time. If you select this option, the value of the Option drop-down lists for the Taxable Entity and Pay Vendor will be disabled and be set to One. Note: For Costpoint Cloud, you can choose to opt in to this feature for the Costpoint 2025.2 release. The ability to opt in is temporary and will be removed when the feature becomes automatically enabled for all users as part of a future Costpoint release. See the
