Advance Tab (Subtask)
Use this tab to view details about an existing advance or to request an advance.

You cannot request an advance if the following conditions are true:
- Your expense class does not allow you to request advances.
- You have previously requested an advance for this authorization and have not yet claimed it on an expense report.
- You have reached the maximum outstanding advance amount for your expense class.
- You have reached the maximum number of outstanding advances allowed for your expense class.
- This is a blanket authorization, which has already been closed.
- The expense authorization has already been processed.
In Expert mode, Advance displays as a subtask on the Details tab. In Wizard mode, it displays as a tab in the left navigation if it applies to the authorization.
| Field | Description |

| Advance ID |
This field displays the ID that was assigned to the advance. |
| Currency |
This field displays the type of currency for the advance, for instance, US Dollars (USD). |
| Amount |
This field displays the amount requested. |
| Date Needed |
This field displays the date by which the advance is needed. |
| Reason |
This field displays the stated reason for the advance. |
| Status |
This field displays the current status of the advance, which will be any of the following:

| Submit |
Click Submit to sign the expense authorization. |
| Exit | In Wizard mode, click this to exit without saving the draft. |
| Back | In Wizard mode, click this to return to the previous tab. |
| Continue | In Wizard mode, click this to continue to the next tab. |
