ECN Impacted Groups Subtask

Use this subtask to update/view the list of functional groups impacted by this ECN.

Field Description
ECN

This field displays the ECN ID from the main screen. The unlabeled field to the right displays the description of the ECN from the main screen.

Impacted Groups Table Window

Note: You can establish a link between an approval process and a system workflow in Costpoint Workflow (under the Others folder) so that, when you initiate the workflow case, for example, the system sends a message to the next approver's user ID when the ECN Status is changed to In Approval on the Manage Engineering Change Notices screen. Be sure to check with your Costpoint Administrator or Consultant regarding establishing additional workflow settings in Costpoint Workflow.

Impacted Group

This field displays impacted groups from the Manage EC Impacted Functional Groups screen.

Description

This field displays the group name from the Manage EC Impacted Functional Groups screen.

Select

Click this button to link the selected impacted groups to the ECN.

Selected Groups Table Window

Selected Group

This field displays the code for the selected impacted group.

Description

This field displays the description of the selected impacted group.

Notify on Creation

Select this check box if users in this impacted group should be notified by Costpoint Workflow when this ECN is created. The default is from the Workflow Notify - ECN Create field on the Manage EC Impacted Functional Groups screen. If you selected C - Use Custom Workflow or N - No Workflow Notification for the Workflow Method on the Configure Engineering Change Notice Settings screen, this field is hidden.

Notify on Approval

Select this check box if users in this impacted group should be notified by Costpoint Workflow when this ECN is approved. The default is from the Workflow Notify - ECN Approval field of the Manage EC Impacted Functional Groups screen. If you selected C - Use Custom Workflow or N - No Workflow Notification for the Workflow Method on the Configure Engineering Change Notice Settings screen, this field is hidden.

Notify on Cust Apprval

Select this check box if users in this impacted group should be notified by Costpoint Workflow when this ECN is customer approved. The default is from the Workflow Notify - Customer Approval field of the Manage EC Impacted Functional Groups screen. If you selected C - Use Custom Workflow or N - No Workflow Notification for the Workflow Method on the Configure Engineering Change Notice Settings screen, this field will be hidden.

Notify on Implementation

Select this check box if users in this impacted group should be notified by Costpoint Workflow when this ECN is implemented. The default is from the Workflow Notify - ECN Implementation field of the Manage EC Impacted Functional Groups screen. If you selected C - Use Custom Workflow or N - No Workflow Notification for the Workflow Method on the Configure Engineering Change Notice Settings screen, this field will be hidden.

Notify on Rejection

Select this check box if users in this impacted group should be notified by Costpoint Workflow when this ECN is rejected. The default is from the Workflow Notify - ECN Rejection field of the Manage EC Impacted Functional Groups. If you selected C - Use Custom Workflow or N - No Workflow Notification for the Workflow Method on the Configure Engineering Change Notice Settings screen, this field will be hidden.

Click this button to load the parts impacted by the ECN.
